As part of CLARA Days 2026, the CLARA Roundtable with French Science, Business and Industry will bring together representatives of research, business, industry, healthcare and public health to explore opportunities for cooperation between CLARA and French partners. The event will introduce the CLARA Centre and the International Neurodegenerative Research Centre (INDRC) and present NANO-CLARA, a CLARA pilot project investigating the links between environmental exposure to nanoparticles and brain health.
The roundtable will provide a space to discuss potential collaborations in areas including artificial intelligence, biomedical and multimodal data, digital health, environmental health, advanced computing and nanoparticle research. It will also offer an opportunity for French research and industry representatives to present their work and identify concrete areas for future cooperation with the CLARA community.
Why NANO-CLARA?
Environmental exposure to nanoscale particles is an emerging area of research with important implications for human health. The NANO-CLARA pilot focuses on how exposure to nanoparticles and nanoplastics may affect biological systems and contribute to risks relevant to brain health and neurodegenerative disease. The project combines computational approaches, multimodal data and advanced visualisation to support the study of particle–health interactions and the development of new research hypotheses.
