2026 Edition of the CLARA Young Innovator Award
Launch: 12 November 2025 (during AI Young Research Forum 2025)
Submission Deadline: 15 March 2026
Notification of Results: 30 April 2026
Award Ceremony: 21-22 May 2026 (during the Prague International Health Summit)
Financial award of €2,000 for each category (under 35 and under 22)
Expert mentoring from leading scientists and tech professionals
Opportunities for incubation or implementation of their project
Assistance with conference submissions to top-tier scientific and technology conferences
Participants are invited to develop digital tools or applications in one or more of the following areas:
- Monitoring cognitive or physical health in older adults
- Personal digital diaries for seniors
- Tools for collecting research data on ageing
- Software tools for analysis and engineering proteins
- Machine learning models for discovery and design of proteins
- Educational platforms about ageing for younger generations
- Intergenerational technology platforms
- Other smart digital solutions that enhance comfort and well-being in later life
The jury brings together internationally respected experts and distinguished professionals from fields relevant to ageing, digital innovation, and societal impact. The composition of the jury includes representatives from CLARA as well as from industry, healthcare, and the broader societal sector. Members may rotate in each edition of the competition to ensure a diverse and balanced evaluation.

Funds raised will support:
- The winner’s financial reward
- Enhanced event experience (catering, logistics, staff) - such as extra technical arrangements, rental for specific premises, and other event management and production related costs not to be covered by public funds (project resources)
- Networking and access to the young generation of talents
Partner visibility: Sponsors will receive prominent recognition through CLARA’s communication channels (website, social media profile), event materials, and public announcements. Sponsors are encouraged to leverage this visibility to showcase their commitment to innovation, research, and societal impact.
The details of this collaboration and how sponsor support will be communicated will be subject to mutual agreement between the sponsor and the CLARA team (represented by INDRC) and will take into account the following partnership levels.
