On Tuesday, 21 April 2026, India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Jitin Prasada, visited CIIRC CTU together with a ministerial delegation comprising senior representatives of key Indian government institutions supporting industrial development, innovation, and international cooperation. The delegation included Shri Jai Prakash Shivahare, Joint Secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Shri Alok Malviya, Director at the Department of Commerce, Shri Sandeep Ahuja, Officer on Special Duty to the Minister, and representatives of the Embassy of India in Prague, including Dr. Prakash Shelat. The guests were introduced to the activities of CIIRC CTU in research and technology transfer, including presentations of the CLARA centre and discussions on opportunities for collaboration between Czech and Indian partners across academia, industry, and government. During his visit, Minister Prasada was accompanied by Raveesh Kumar, Ambassador of India to the Czech Republic, and Puneet Dalmia, Vice President of FICCI.

The visit of Minister Shri Jitin Prasada took place in connection with his chairmanship of the 13th session of the India–Czech Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation (JCEC), organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. The meeting represented a high-level intergovernmental dialogue between the two countries, led by senior government officials and officially opened by Jan Sechter, Vice Minister of the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade.

On Wednesday, 22 April 2026, an Indian business delegation composed of prominent business and industry representatives from a wide range of sectors visited the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics at CTU (CIIRC CTU). The visit formed part of the delegation’s programme ahead of the Czech–Indian Business Forum held on 23 April 2026, co-organised by the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade together with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

The discussions focused on innovation, applied research, and opportunities for international cooperation in advanced technologies. The delegation included companies and organisations active in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, industrial automation, defence and aerospace technologies, sustainable manufacturing, environmental solutions, IT infrastructure, mobility and automotive systems, advanced materials, recruitment and workforce development, media, food production, and international trade. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange expertise on digitalisation, smart industry solutions, autonomous systems, sustainability, and technology transfer, while also exploring future collaboration between Czech research teams and Indian industrial partners.

During the visit, Vít Dočkal, Director of INDRC and Chair of the CLARA Supervisory Board, presented the CLARA project and related initiatives, including the Czech-IndoPacific Impact Accelerator (CZACRA). His presentation took place within the framework of the intergovernmental commission meeting and contributed to the broader dialogue on strengthening bilateral cooperation in research, innovation, and technology transfer.

On both days, the delegations were welcomed by Prof. Vladimír Mařík, Scientific Director of CIIRC CTU, together with other representatives of the institute. The programme included presentations of CIIRC CTU’s research activities and guided tours of selected facilities, including RICAIP Testbed Prague, an experimental infrastructure focused on advanced manufacturing technologies, robotics, digitalisation, and industrial artificial intelligence.

The visit reflects the growing momentum in Czech-Indian cooperation and the shared ambition to strengthen long-term partnerships in research, innovation, and advanced industry, contributing to sustainable economic growth and technological development.
