Czech & EU AI Heads to India: CLARA to Be Showcased at Joint Exhibition at India AI Impact Expo 2026

From 16 February 2026, India’s capital, New Delhi, will become the centre of global debate on artificial intelligence (AI) for one week. The India AI Impact Expo and the accompanying two-day India AI Impact Summit 2026 will take place there, attracting up to 200,000 participants across more than 70,000 m², according to the organisers. Government representatives, as well as leaders of global technology and industrial companies and research institutions, will gather in the Indian capital. Thanks to the cooperation between CIIRC CTU and INDRC, which succeeded in securing a place among the exhibitors in a strong international competition, the event will feature a compact yet content-rich exhibition of Czech AI technologies and research.

The Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics of the Czech Technical University in Prague (CIIRC CTU) and the International Neurodegenerative Disorders Research Center (INDRC) have named their joint exhibition “Czech AI Innovations from the Heart of Europe”. In addition to these two institutions, the presentation will also include the Zlín Region together with the ZRIA agency, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, and the startup Neurona Lab. The entire initiative is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. The Czech scientific exhibition at AI Impact Expo 2026, also supported by Česká spořitelna, will present selected examples of AI-based solutions, research results, technological applications, and advanced infrastructure. Its goal is to showcase Czech capabilities and open new opportunities for international cooperation in the rapidly growing Indian market.

India AI Impact Expo is one of the most significant global AI-focused trade fairs in Asia and includes the two-day international India AI Impact Summit. The event connects government representatives, research institutions, and technology leaders and is held under the auspices of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. It follows last year’s edition held in Paris under the patronage of French President Emmanuel Macron.

“The importance of India in digital technologies and artificial intelligence has been growing steadily,” says Prof. Vladimír Mařík, Scientific Director of CIIRC CTU. “In the context of deepening cooperation between the European Union and India, now reinforced by the signing of a historic free trade agreement, we consider it strategically important to be present. Participation in the India AI Impact Expo and Summit allows us to present Czech research and technologies in an international environment, establish new professional contacts, and open the door to concrete cooperation in areas where we have much to offer, thanks to cutting-edge research, industrial applications, and a responsible approach to artificial intelligence.”

Another goal of the joint mission of INDRC and CIIRC CTU will be to promote two project initiatives, CLARA and RICAIP, which illustrate a wide spectrum of activities ranging from fundamental research to industrial applications. The CLARA project – Center for Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing in System Brain Research – focuses on advanced research into neurodegeneration using state-of-the-art artificial intelligence, machine learning, and quantum computing. It connects interdisciplinary sciences with high-performance computing technologies and enables the development of advanced solutions in biomedicine and medical AI.

The RICAIP research and innovation infrastructure focuses on building a network of industrial testbeds. These provide solutions for Industry 4.0 and the digital transformation of manufacturing, particularly through testing and deploying advanced technologies, including AI, and validating them in real-world conditions.

In recent years, CIIRC CTU has built strong ties with the region. It actively develops cooperation with the Indo-Pacific through the INPACE project (Indo-Pacific-European Hub for Digital Partnerships), which supports strategic partnerships between Europe, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Singapore in digital technologies and their impact on society and the economy. In addition, a new research institute named after Prof. Vladimír Mařík – the Marik Institute of Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Cybernetics (MICARC)– was ceremonially opened in Jaipur, India, in 2025. It will serve as a platform for joint research activities, knowledge exchange, and education for students and research teams.

“Participation in the India AI Impact Expo is an opportunity for us to show that Czech AI innovations go hand in hand not only with technological excellence, but also with a strong focus on ethics, trustworthiness, and compliance,” adds Dr. Vít Dočkal, Director of INDRC. “We believe that the combination of cutting-edge research and a responsible approach to AI opens the way for international cooperation and applications that have a real impact on society.”

The exhibition will also feature the innovative startup Neurona Lab, which focuses on healthcare technologies for the fast and accurate diagnosis of cognitive disorders using artificial intelligence. Its solutions include AI algorithms for voice analysis to detect early signs of disease, as well as tools for analysing data from imaging methods, particularly magnetic resonance imaging and PET scans. These enable the localisation of pathological changes in the brain and more precise identification of brain oedema or microbleeds that may occur in specific cases during Alzheimer’s disease treatment.

India AI Impact Expo 2026 will take place in New Delhi from 16 to 20 February 2026. The joint CIIRC CTU and INDRC exhibition will provide a platform for establishing international cooperation with Czech partners in the field of artificial intelligence.
