
On Tuesday, 21 April 2026, India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Jitin Prasada, visited CIIRC CTU together with a ministerial delegation of representatives of key government institutions, including the agencies supporting industrial development. The guests were introduced to the activities of CIIRC CTU in research and technology transfer, including presentation of the CLARA centre and discussions on opportunities for collaboration between Czech and Indian partners across academia, industry, and government. During his visit, Mr Minister Prasada was accompanied by Raveesh Kumar, the Indian Ambassador to the Czech Republic, and Puneet Dalmia, Vice President of FICC.
The visit of Mr Minister Shri Jitin Prasada was framed by his chairmanship of the 13th session of the India–Czech Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation (JCEC) that was organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. The meeting represented a high-level intergovernmental dialogue between the two countries, led by senior government officials and officially opened by Jan Sechter, Vice Minister of the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade.
On Wednesday, 22 April 2026, Indian business delegation consisting of 20 prominent Indian business leaders representing key companies across various sectors, visited CIIRC CTU, as part of their agenda before participating at the Czech-Indian Business Forum, which took place on 23 April 2026, co-organised by the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade and by the President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
During this visit, Vít Dočkal, Director of INDRC and Chair of the CLARA Supervisory Board, presented the CLARA project and related initiatives, including the Czech–IndoPacific Impact Accelerator (CZACRA). His presentation took place during the intergovernmental commission meeting and formed part of the broader dialogue on strengthening bilateral cooperation in research, innovation, and technology transfer.
Both delegations were welcomed by Prof. Vladimír Mařík, Scientific Director of CIIRC CTU, along with other representatives of the institute. The visit program included presentations of research activities and a tour of selected facilities, including the RICAIP Testbed Prague infrastructure, which focuses on advanced manufacturing technologies, digitalization, and industrial automation.
Both visiting delegations were introduced to key research and innovation activities in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and advanced manufacturing and received guided tours of RICAIP Testbed Prague, an experimental facility for robotics and industrial AI at CIIRC CTU.
The visit reflects the growing political will and converging economic aspirations between India and its European partners. It aims to translate shared leadership vision into durable partnerships that drive inclusive growth, industrial transformation, and global economic resilience.
